Quintessential country pub dating back 5 century's. The Plough Inn is nestled in the stunning historic, Cumbrian village of Wreay. 2 Miles from Carlisle. The BnB rooms are spacious all with Ensuite and enjoy views of the Cumbrian countryside. Large gardens can be enjoyed with views over the Pennines. Pub restaurant is No1 on TripAdvisor and meals are served from 5pm or from 12 Fri - Sun. Or just enjoy a drink in the cosy typical English country pub. See more at our Web site ploughinnwreay
Having recently acquiring The Plough Sam and Team Plough are busy trying to make things perfect for a visit to a typical British Pub, The Plough is steeped in history and Sam enjoys relaying this history and comings and goings of the pub to interested guests. Sam, along with Head Chef, Ben, has got the pub restaurant to No1 on TripAdvisor and enjoys greeting visitors who visit for superb food and relaxing overnight stays.
The Cumbrian, rural Village of Wreay is steeped in history ( Roman camp, Medieval Farms, Sarah Losh trail, St Mary's Church, ) and enjoy views over the lake District and the Pennines and on to Scotland. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the local history or for getting out on more energetic acivities across the Eden Valley, Hadrians Wall, The Lake District and Scottish Borders.
