Property information

The Old Pump House is an ideal self-catering holiday home near Millom for up to six guests in 3 bedrooms. It lies on the banks of the Black Beck and was formerly one of the main pumping stations supplying water to the ironworks. This detached, single-storey, country holiday retreat nestles in the village of The Green, a sleepy village off the Millom road, 4.5 miles from the ancient market town of Broughton. Note: The hot tub is optional, costing GBP100 per week or part thereof. Please get in touch with us to add the hot tub to your booking. Parties are not allowed. Pets by prior arrangement.

Neighbourhood information

The Green is situated within easy reach of Millom and the coastal towns of Silecroft and Haverigg. Haverigg is also home to the Port Haverigg Wakeboard Centre and Lakes Aqua Park! The coastal train route to Whitehaven is picturesque and worth a day out. In Whitehaven, you can visit the harbour or continue to Carlisle City to visit Carlisle Castle and do a bit of shopping. The Lake District National Park is also nearby and a fantastic destination for days out. It offers plenty of things to do, from lakeside walks to visiting world-famous attractions such as The World of Beatrix Potter and the Lakes Aquarium. Plenty of activities are available too, including boat hire, fishing and horse riding.
