Situated in the very heart of Exmoor National Park we are located right on the green with an excellent village shop, two great country Inns with restaurants, and a marvelous tea room just a short walk across the green. Exford is an excellent central location for walking, rambling, cycling, and exploring the moor along with visiting the wider local area. The apartment has its own front door and is light and spacious consisting of a large living room with a Freeview TV and a Roku system to access Netflix along with a DVD player, a two-seater leather sofa, coffee table, large shower room, a large bedroom with a king-size bed, wardrobe, and chest of drawers. The kitchenette area has a table with two chairs, sink, combination microwave/oven, air fryer, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and all normal kitchen utensils. Parking is normally available right outside the property with a large free public car park about 100 yards away. We welcome a child up to 18 months with a folding travel cot and bath available if required. One well-behaved dog is welcome and a dog blanket, towel, and bowl are provided if required.

We have owned Exford Post Office and Stores from 2007 until it closed it down when I retired. The shop space was then converted into the current layout for use initially use as an annexe until we decided to use it as holiday accommodation. We are early risers, helped by our two Golden Retrievers who tend to wake at about 7.30, so we will always be on hand and are always quite happy to advise and help you make the most of your visit to Exmoor. The apartment has a large selection of walking and cycling maps of the area along with various booklets that you are welcome to use during your stay. We also have a large selection of books about Exmoor you are welcome to read on request.

"A unique landscape of moorland, woodland, valleys and farmland, shaped by people and nature over thousands of years. Where high cliffs plunge into the Bristol Channel, and cosy pubs and tearooms offer delicious local produce. On Exmoor it is still possible to find tranquillity and peace as well as rediscover your sense of adventure; to catch a glimpse of wild red deer, be amazed by dark skies full of stars, and explore villages full of character" For dog owners there is an abundance of walks allowing you to walk for miles over the moor with some starting from the car park across the road or within a short drive away. Exford does have a bus service but being a very rural area it is not always handy for trips out so a car is really a necessity. If transport is a problem we can offer a taxi service or even offer a few guided tours of the area for a reasonable fee.
