The Mill Cottage takes the entire ground floor of a converted corn mill and is accessed via its own private entrance off its own private courtyard, which is accessed via a small flight of stairs on the outside of our family home. The Mill Cottage is on the ground floor and our family home is on the top two floors. The Mill has been standing since 1637 and was turned into a house in the 1800's. The cottage was separated from the main house in the 1980's. The property is semi-rural located in the beautiful and secluded Morgenau river valley, a tributary to the scenic Teifi river. Easy walking access to the villages of Llechryd and Cilgerran where numerous pubs, food establishments and historic sites can be found as well as the Welsh Wildlife Centre and Cilgerran Castle. The TV is not connected to any service, but an HDMI cable is provided to allow you to connect your own device. High speed WIFI is available for streaming. Please note that the price reflects that the renovations to the property are not yet completed and the bathroom and kitchen are not fully modernised. There is off road parking shared with the owners in front of the main house. There is enough space for one large car or van. There is additional parking on the street.

It is a very quiet area, with one neighbour to the property. Located opposite an ancient woodland, filled with owls, badgers and foxes. If you are lucky you may even spot deer. Surrounded by farmland, you will hear the quiet sounds of the river flowing past. The area is rich in walking and cycling routes. The larger town of Cardigan is 10 minutes away, with a variety of larger shops, including Tesco and Aldi. A range of breathtaking white sandy beaches are located between 15 and 30 minutes drive away, including Mwnt (excellent for sunsets), Poppit Sands, Llangranog (paddle board hire available here) and Aberporth (known for dolphin watching) and the holiday town of New Quay, especially known for it's dolphin watching. River activities are available along the Teifi from local companies. The Preseli Mountains offer a range of walking routes in the hills. In poor weather, local attractions abound, including the Bug Farm, the National Wool Museum and the Shire Horse Farm. It is an area rich in history with many Cadw sites, castles and burial sites.
