The Saltings is just two miles outside the interesting and quirky town of Totnes, where there is a weekly lively market, a medieval castle and a many independent shops, restaurants and cafes. You can walk or cycle to Totnes along the picturesque path that follows the river Dart, all the way to the town. From Totnes, you can take the Riverlink ferry to Dartmouth and the sea. This excursion passes vineyards, the waterside villages of Stoke Gabriel and Dittisham and Agatha Christie’s summer house – Greenway, now managed by the National Trust. Dartmouth, famous for its’ Royal Naval College and historic castle offers wonderful seafood and opportunities for exploration via its’ ancient market square and narrow, cobbled streets. Beautiful beaches at Blackpool Sands and Slapton There is a dock for launching kayaks as well as a concrete slipway for larger boats. This location is perfect for exploring the beautiful river Dart. The accommodation consists of a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, with a cosy sofa and internet-TV. There is a walk in shower, a separate WC and a double bedroom with wonderful views across the meadow. Babies are welcome and a travel cot is available...
