Neighbourhood information

Inverlochy is a charming residential village with ties to the property owner’s family for over 80 years. With a direct route through the neighbourhood, The Jacobite Retreat is a 15 to 20-min walk on the flat (5-min drive) to Fort William town centre with its main bus links, railway station, leisure centre, cinema, museum, shops, restaurants and bars. Ben Nevis and Glen Nevis are within walking distance. From the rear garden, guests can turn left and access a pedestrian footbridge over the West Highland Line leading to the North Road Retail Park which has Aldi, Marks & Spencer Foodhall and Home Bargains (5 to 10-min walk). Nevis Cycles bike hire shop, an e-bike hub and a takeaway are located in the village. Sorry, no pets allowed. Described as one of the greatest rail journeys in the world, The Jacobite steam train’s 84-mile Fort William to Mallaig round trip is undoubtedly a bucket list experience. So, whatever your reason for holidaying in the West Highlands, we would love to play a small part in making your stay carefree and memorable. All aboard!
