The Babbling Brook Country Inn is a Traditional 16th Century Inn, situated at the foot of the Quantock hills. We boast no Jukebox, TV , fruit machines or pool tables, just Excellent Food & Drink. You can choose to dine Alfresco in our beautiful Cottage garden during the warmer months or by our roaring fire when he weather is cooler. We have a varied menu, from our pub classics, to our mouth watering Chef's Specials and fabulous (best in the area) Sunday Carvery, you will be spoilt for choice when you visit. We are situated in the beautiful Hamlet of Shurton, on the edge of the Quantock Hills, halfway between Bridgwater and Minehead just a 15 min drive from J24 on the M5 and close to Taunton. Ideally placed to visit lots of attractions, some of the closet local Golf Course are Enmore Golf Club, and Cannington. Beach fishing at Kilve & Lilstock for Bass & Cod and Burton Springs less than 1/2 mile away for fly and course fishing. Bird watching at the Bird sanctuary at Steart, on the Seven Estuary. The property is located in a quiet residential area in the Hamlett of Shurton, the pub is the only amenity in the Hamlet but is less than a mile away from the Village of Stogursey or 5 miles from Cannington where there are local amenities, post office, local store etc. Otherwise you can travel approx 10 miles to Bridgwater or in the other direction to Minehead or Taunton all larger towns within easy access.
