Located just 2 minutes walk from Windermere train station it makes a fantastic base to explore all that the Lake District has to offer. The apartment boasts an elegant open plan living area, with a well equipped kitchen and large comfortable beds in cosy bedrooms to ensure you are well rested for the next days plans. Just seconds away, on Windermere high street, you will find local shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. The space 14 Church Street is an entire apartment right in the centre of the iconic Windermere village. It is newly furnished in a modern style, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The flat provides two bedroomed accommodation over one level and with modern, gas central heating. Accessed from the road at the front, step through the entrance hall and up a flight of stairs to be welcomed into the open plan living room and well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Neighbourhood information

Windermere village grew around the railway station, about a mile and a half from the lake. The village was originally called Birthwaite, but the railway company decided to call the station after the lake. Over the years, the village has become merged with the older lakeside town of Bowness-on-Windermere, though the two have quite separate centre. A short walk from the apartment takes you to Orrest Head, an outstanding viewpoint. It was the first ‘summit’ in Lakeland visited by A Wainwright, author of the famous guidebooks, in 1930.
