    Meter spaces (1hr max daytime, free 6pm-8am and all day Sunday) just outside on Corporation St. Nearest car parks are Crescent Car Park (3min walk, max 3hrs daytime and free as above) or Castle St Car Park (4min walk, all-day and free as above).

  • I am arranging a road trip with my 88 year old mother and require a place with entry on ground level with a walk in shower. Does this meet those requirements?

    Sorry, no it doesn't - the apartment is on the first floor of a listed building, so no lift and rather a lot of stairs. Very sorry we can't help - hope your road trip goes really well. All best, Malcolm

  • Hi, Where do I park and how far from the property is the car park?

    Hi, there are meter spaces outside (max 1hr 8am-6pm Mon-Sat, free 6pm-8am and all day Sunday) and 2min walk away is the Castle Street long stay car park. You can use the PaybyPhone app to extend parking time without having to return to the car park.

    Hi, yes there are stairs to access the communal entrance door, and then the apartment is one floor higher. Stairs are the only option I'm afraid, there is no elevator.

Located in the historic, Grade II-listed Somerset College of Art, with stunning views of Taunton historic centre, this 2-bedroom duplex apartment really has the Wow factor. Furnished with beautiful period items including one antique, king-size four-poster bed and two antique singles (which clamp firmly together to make a superking - let us know in advance if you want this configuration!), it is sure to give you an unforgettable stay! The open-plan kitchen-diner-living area boasts huge floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the historic Register Office and Library - and there is an excellent restaurant on site too! 5 Hunts Court is located right in the historic centre of Taunton, Somerset's County Town: these exclusive apartments were constructed 12 years ago in the upper floors of the very elegant late Victorian Somerset College of Art - and this apartment only is located in what was the main art studio, so it has huge floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking historic Taunton, including the Somerset Register Office immediately opposite (making this the ideal apartment to stay in if attending a wedding there), and the historic Somerset County Library, now tastefully converted into the Pitcher & Piano. Below the apartments is the Cosy Club, a fashionable restaurant that, conveniently, serves an excellent breakfast as well as all other meals! Just across the road is Taunton Castle and Taunton's main shopping streets and museums (including the exciting new County Classics Motor Museum opening in late Feb 2023) are all a very short walk away. Alongside Hunts Court is the narrow pedestrian alley of Bath Place, lined with listed buildings and now home to boutique shops and cafes, including a particularly fine secondhand bookshop.
