Strenneth has been a family run Bed and Breakfast for the past 40 years and the owners Paul and Yolly have been your hosts for the 23 of those years. The wonder of a farmhouse built in circa 1550 will soon enchant you. The area has many local historical features and buildings and much of the adjacent land is owned by the Duke of Norfolk. If you are interested in wildlife we have hares, owls and deer in abundance. Redgrave Fen is only 2 miles away and has many species of bird and up to 75 species have been recorded in one day. You can expect to see Hares, Roe Deer and Barn Owls in the nearby fields. Strenneth is dog friendly but dogs cannot be left in the accommodation unattended at any time.

A 17th Century Grade 2 listed building, with a single storey courtyard bedroom wing and self catering cottages, all with parking. There are 4 Pubs that all serve food within 2 miles or so.The house is surrounded by the Norfolk countryside and a variety of local walks and cycle routes. Pets are welcomed. Strenneth makes an ideal touring base to explore East Anglia. Close to Snetterton Motor Racing Circuit, Diss, Redgrave and Lopham Fen, Banham Zoo, Bressingham Gardens and equidistant between Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket. Strenneth is in a rural farming location where the stars can be seen at night. It is quiet, most times . We grow a lot of Sweet Peas and the guests are able to see what we do from germination of seeds, planting, and finally picking the seed pods , cleaning and packing.
