The Georgian property is found at the end of a long driveway away from the road. The property dates back in parts to 1710, with areas in Pheasant Lodge built in 1870. The accommodation offers comfort and luxury as well as beautifully restored features including high ceiling, large windows, fireplaces and parquet floors. The property offers spectacular views over beautiful gardens and the Cartmel Valley, up to Hampsfell. The ideal base for those who enjoy walking, mountain biking or simply relaxing in a secluded situation. Refurbished to a superior standard. There are two large bedrooms and one bathroom. There is also a large lounge with sofa bed, plus separate dining room. All the windows in the house look out to the lush gardens that surround the property. The apartment is all on the ground floor, with just two steps in the house. New electric heating has been installed throughout the house with a new log fire in the lounge. There is private parking for 3 cars at the front of the property on a private driveway and 3 private garden areas for use in your stay. Gardens surround the apartment, so you are spoilt for choice. The hedged garden at the front of the house catches the sun at the end of the day. To the back of the house, from the boot room exit there is a private walled garden perfect for dining outside and enjoying drinks. The lawn at the side can be seen from most windows in the house. Have loved seeing the world and discovering new places with my family - now excited and happy to be letting our first holiday cottage in the Lake District National Park. As a family of 3 small children we love staying in the spacious house, with gardens surrounding. There is a huge toy cupboard for children to enjoy, plus netflix and sky for any colder days. Locally you're provided with the most breathtaking attractions - something to suit all ages. So whether you want to hike, enjoy watersports or just picnic by the Lake - we have the stay for you. We've also stayed with friends for adult only time, have visited Cartmel races, enjoyed walks and wild swims around the Lake District and dined at some of the best restaurants in the country such as L'enclume, Heft and Rogans. You're really spoilt for choice. Field Broughton is a quiet hamlet, just outside Cartmel. In the heart of the Cartmel Valley, a beautiful spot in the countryside - in the heart of the Lake District National Park. You are close to the tip of Lake Windermere, a short drive away where you can enjoy water sports, boat rides up to Ambleside and Windermere or just relax by the Lake. Cartmel is the foodie mecca of the north. The area has the most Michelin stars in the country - so check out the local restaurant Heft, plus Simon Rogan's L'enclume and Rogan's. Cartmel is steeped in history and a beauty village to walk around, enjoy some great food and drinks and to visit the Priory. Don't forget to pick up some Cartmel Sticky pudding too. You can also enjoy Cartmel races 9 times a year where the village becomes a hub of fun and liveliness. If you want to enjoy some more active days out - you're really spoilt for choice. Pheasant Lodge is in the heart of the Lake District, so you could take on some of the many Wainwrights, swim in Lake Coniston or Windermere or enjoy the watersports the Lakes has to offer. You can visit Ambleside and Bowness on Windermere easily from the house and also catch one of the boats up the lake to enjoy Wray Castle, Brockholes and many more attractions.
