Welcome! Our camping pods are designed to provided a refreshing alternative to camping. They are an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye & are located only two miles outside of Portree. Each pod comes with a bed & mattress with a small en-suite bathroom including a shower. Please note: NO BEDDING / TOWELS ARE PROVIDED IN THE PODS. Due to the pods being 'camping pods' - you are expected to bring all your normal camping gear including sleeping bags! We do offer sleeping bag & towel rental if this is not an option but we would encourage you to consider if the camping pod is the right choice for your needs. The pods also do not have a kitchen and there is no campsite kitchen on the site so you will need your normal camping equipment except tent and camping mats! We allow camping stoves / disposable BBQ's to be used outside the pod (on the gravel area). The exception to this are our Superior Pods which come with full linen and a small kitchenette. There is NO ONSITE RECEPTION. We operate a virtual reception where you can contact us via the number provided or via booking com messaging service. You will receive your pod allocation number via booking com messages around 24 hours before check in. The Yard Bar & function venue based next to the pods is now a separate business to Isle of Skye Camping Pods and at this time, we do not know about their future opening times / what services will be provided. We do recommend you have access to a vehicle if you choose to stay with us. Taxi's can be limited during peak season on the island and it is not advisable to walk to Portree from the pods as it is on a busy main road. Skye is also a lot bigger than some people realise so to make the most of your trip - make sure you are able to get around to see all the highlights! We are ideally located close to the main capital of the island which has plenty of restaurants and shops for you to experience as well as transport links & tourist office. We are the perfect location for exploring the whole island whether it’s a leisurely walk to the coral beach with a visit to Dunvegan castle, exploring the pre-historic dinosaur footprints at Staffin beach close to the well-known Old Man of Storr or something more challenging such as climbing the world famous Cuillin hills.
