There is not much to do in Kinross.

There is not much to do in Kinross. We went to the lake and wanted to visit the castle but it was closed due to a private event. Some shops are closed or are closing in the town. The small jetty looks abandoned and run down. It might have been nice to walk or cycle around the loch. However, for us 1 day was sufficient time. We really liked the small cafe Reminisce. Lovely team.

It's a small town but it has everything.

It's a small town but it has everything. Loch Leven is a gem and the surrounding countryside very beautiful. The drives to Perth and Scone Palace as well as to Stirling are gorgeous. It's within half and hour of Edinborough and 45 minutes of Glasgow. We ate at our hotel, the Kirklands which has a great restaurant so can't say anything about the other places.

Everything about the house, stunning decor, exceptionally clean & great location, for St Andrews, Dunfermline, Perth etc... Many thanks again to Elaine for contacting us during our stay to make sure everything was ok for us. Also for her lovely welcome pack of Borders cookies 🍪 and tablet 😋 they went down a treat with a nice cuppa on our arrival. Not forgetting the georgous carnations. Sooo thoughtful would thoroughly recommend this house to anyone wishing to visit Kinross and surrounding areas in the future. 😊

Great hotel, very reasonably priced for what you get. Food excellent for dinner, need to book a table as busy. Family room very comfy and spacious, right at top of house but easy stairs, no lift. Kinross is a lovely town, excellent walks around the loch, 5 mins walk away, good cycle path. Great little brewery few mins walk away. Parking on site easy, not too many spaces but free road parking. Excellent breakfast! Superb value for money, would stay again.

Great location in the centre of Kinross, great food and exceptional quality of service throughout. A warm and friendly atmosphere created by the hostess and her team coupled with highly efficient use of technology means it deserves a very high satisfaction rating. All the important requirements of a hotel stay had been carefully thought out. Will have no hesitation in staying at the Kirklands on any future visit to the area.

As this was my first trip alone to Scotland for a family wedding I liked the security at the property and knowing I could contact Gerry if I needed to. The location was central in Kinross so good access to local amenities and buses. Gerry provided very useful information prior to and during my stay and was a kind, hospitable host. The accommodation was very comfortable and homely and I felt very welcome.

Wow...luxury 5 star apartment in the heart of tranquil Kinross. Exquisite furnishings and highest quality finishings throughout the property. Bedrooms in particular were quite stunning worthy of any top end boutique hotel. The welcome pack and communication also first class. We will definitely return to the wonderful Kinross Reaidence in the future.

Seemless Check in, excellent communication, spotless room. Absolutely fantastic! The bed was divine (what is that matress?? It was so comfortable), spacious, well stocked and set like a hotel room! The communication gave us everything we needed to know and more. Although, a possible glitch meant we received the same information a few times...

Interesting old hotel in the process of being renovated. A lot of character. One of the other guests had stayed there as a child, and said it was a grand place in it’s day, and it was good to see it being renovated and kept up. We’ stay again. Breakfast and Dinner were great.

We stayed overnight and went to the Backstage to watch Black Rose a Thin Lizzy tribute band. Hotel and the band made it a great evening and overnight stay. We have stayed here a couple of times now and ideally located for the music events and Kinross golf course.
