RossMor is a 6-bedroom, family-run guest house, offering Visit Scotland ‘4 star Gold’ bed and breakfast accommodation with views in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. All rooms are en-suite and have free WiFi, flat screen TV, coffee machine and tea-making facilities. Free parking is available on site and a lounge with a wood-burning stove and beautiful views across the lochan, Cromdale Hills and local woods is available for guest use. RossMor serves high-quality, local produce for breakfast in the spacious dining room. Popular choices are our Grantown on Spey smoked salmon, homemade bread, jams and marmalade using fruits from the garden, award-winning haggis and black pudding from our local butcher and traditional Scottish porridge. Grantown on Spey is a great base to explore the Cairngorms National Park, Loch Ness, Speyside and the Malt Whisky Trail. Guests are recommended a stay of at least 3 nights to explore these areas. Grantown itself is a Georgian village with a friendly community and a traditional high street with many shops, cafes and restaurants. RossMor has woodland walks directly across the road and the River Spey is just 10 minutes' walk from RossMor.

Company information

We moved to Grantown on Spey, and RossMor, in 2109 from Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands of NSW for a better work/life balance. We love living here. Just across the road are numerous paths through ancient Scottish woods and a 10 minutes walk takes you along the River Spey, and then their are the mountains s. In our previous life we were very well travelled and now every day we meet guests from across the world, living in places that we've visited and we very much enjoy reminiscing about these holidays with our guests.

Property information

When we returned to Scotland from Australia and first saw RossMor, there was lots to fall in love with. The warm, homely feeling you get as soon as you walk in the front door, the stunning views of the Cairngorms National Park and the friendly, welcoming town in which we are based. Every morning when we open our front doors and get ready to greet our guests for breakfast we say to each other "we live here"! We are continued the work of the previous owners investing in RossMor to give guests the best possible experience whilst staying with us. We are sure you will love it here just as much as we do.

Neighbourhood information

Grantown-on-Spey is a historic Georgian town in the Cairngorms National Park. It is a central base for exploring the national park, Loch Ness, Malt Whisky Trail and the Moray coast. We recommend a stay of at least 3 nights to explore these areas. RossMor has stunning views across the woods, lochan and hills and is a short walk from a good choice of restaurants serving Scottish, Indian and pub style cuisine. Grantown is a welcoming community and guests comment that they feel at home when shopping our High Street, dining out and staying with us. Most wish they could stay longer!
