Quarry House is a superb, detached cottage boasting feature beams, quaint window seats and original quarry tiled floors in the hamlet of Moneystone near Oakamoor in Staffordshire. The cottage offers a king-size double and a 4’ double room, both with Jack-and-Jill access to a shower room. There is an external pod with 1 x twin (zip/link bed which can be made king-size upon request). On the ground floor you will find a further shower room, which also houses a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is a well-equipped kitchen, a comfy dining area with a Rayburn range for extra warmth and a sitting room with a cosy woodburning stove. Outside, there is off road parking for two cars, and a lawned garden wrapped around the whole cottage, with a front patio and a rear patio with furniture. Quarry House truly is a wonderful base for friends and family to gather and explore this wonderful area of the Peak District. Moneystone lies just south of the Peak District National Park, and the hamlet is surrounded by walking trails along country lanes, through valleys and over hills. Overlooking the Churnet Valley, this is a lovely spot for getting out and about, and cyclists have a choice of two former railway routes which now offer picturesque rides through lovely countryside. Amenities can be found in the nearby market towns of Ashbourne and Leek, while those who fancy a wilder day out will enjoy Alton Towers theme park, just a few miles away.
