My cottage is a home from home. Just a 5 minute walk from the High Street in the village in a beautifully peaceful setting. Innerleithen itself is renowned for its cycling, especially mountain biking my cottage is ideal base for mountain biking at Glentress or on ‘7 Stanes’ routes. With fun antique shops, pubs, restaurants, craft shops and world famous fishing this would be the perfect place to stay. It’s ideal too for a romantic getaway from everything, yet Edinburgh is only an hour drive away.
Originally from Scotland I have worked in Edinburgh at the Royal Botanic Garden for over 21 years. I now split my time between Scotland and Massachusetts, USA. I’m passionate about traveling, the natural world and good craft beer. I have a lock box so you can check in whenever suits you. Together with my co host Claire we are on hand to answer any questions throughout your stay.
The village offers numerous pubs, an excellent Indian Restaurant and local butcher. The CoOp in the village offers a chance to stock up on anything you may have forgotten. Craft shops, antique shops and the tasty ice cream shop add to Innerleithen’s charm. Walking, cycling and fishing opportunities are the main attraction of the village. Free unrestricted street parking outside of the cottage. Served by regular local busses Innerleithen is around 15 minutes from Peebles and an hour and a half to Edinburgh. I have a secure shed for bikes if you’re planning on cycling.
