Steve and Hazel Roche don't live at the cottages but are on hand during the day if you need them. Steve loves cycling and can often be found on his road bike exploring the Peak District National Park. Priestley is a beautiful cottage for three people set in an award-winning luxury Peak District retreat. The cottage was fully renovated in 2022. Downstairs you'll find a stunning open-plan living area with underfloor heating. There is dining for three people. The new kitchen is hand-made and includes integrated appliances, Dualit products and waste disposal. A lounge area completes the downstairs with a wall-mounted smart TV and Alexa. Upstairs there are two bedrooms. A single bedroom and a main bedroom which can be either a super-king or twin beds. A vintage-style bathroom has a walk-in rain shower and toiletries from our partnership with Peak Soap in Bakewell. There’s a private enclosed patio just outside of the cottage plus a further 12 acres to explore. Priestley Cottage is set within the Wheeldon Trees retreat where you will find an honesty shop selling posh locally-sourced goodies, free electric bikes, EV charging and a games room. The views are some of the best you’ll find in the Peak District.
