We love living and working here and feel very lucky indeed to be surrounded by such lovely scenery every single day. Property information

The Old Village Hall is a stunning conversion which is totally unique. Originally built in 1834 as the local Free Church and later known as the local village hall, it has been newly converted and restored into a stylish contemporary home located in Nenthorn, just 3 miles north of Kelso. The property sleeps up to 6 people in three spacious bedrooms, consisting of a stunning main feature bedroom with a king size bed and en-suite walk in shower and two further double bedrooms. All the bedrooms feature purposes built-in wardrobes and storage and are very stylish with all modern comforts. A sumptuous family bathroom features a stand alone bath, a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. A further walk in shower room is also located downstairs. The property has a purpose built utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The property boasts a stunning open plan design downstairs and is the ideal venue for family and/or friends. With a large open plan lounge featuring a wood burner, open plan dining room and a large modern kitchen with high specification appliances and feature in an island with seating to enjoy that cup of coffee in the morning.

Neighbourhood information

The small hamlet of Nenthorn is located just 3 miles north from Kelso, Scottish Borders. The hamlet itself is a quite location within easy reach of Kelso. Kelso is a small town built along the banks of the River Tweed and Teviot. It has many historical features including Kelso Abbey which dates back to 1128 and is well worth a visit. As well as a day out at Floors Castle which has some stunning grounds. The town centre is a lovely mix of Georgian and Victorian architecture and boasts the largest town market square in Scotland. The cobbled streets provide a backdrop to a variety of traditional, independent and modern shops to provide you with a unique shopping experience. Kelso has a variety of places to eat and drink from a relaxing coffee and scone to some of the finest locally sourced foods in the local restaurants. Kelso is the ideal location to explore many of the Scottish Borders towns including Melrose, Jedburgh and Peebles to name just a few. There is train link to Edinburgh from Tweedbank and has excellent road links to Alnwick, Bamburgh and Newcastle. Beaches are located just 50 minutes away on the east coast, which are well worth a visit.
