Portstewart is a popular holiday destination with its long crescent shaped seafront promenade, family fun activity park at The Crescent, stunning beach, championship golf courses (Royal Portrush Golf Club), superb restaurants, cafes and ice-cream parlours. There is plenty to keep the family entertained with beautiful coastal and beach walks, surfing, golf, tennis, sailing, and so many other activities. Portstewart is the escape away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and provides a relaxed atmosphere but still with plenty to do and see.  Portstewart puts on many events including the St Patricks Day annual Duck Dive, North West 200 road racing, Red Sails Festival, fireworks displays and many other activities throughout the year. O’Hara Castle part of Dominican College overlooks the town and sits on the edge of the coast walk from the town centre to Portstewart Strand beach providing some of the most impressive sea views along the coast. Portstewart Strand is a National Trust beach offering 2 miles of golden sand and is designated a Blue Flag beach. Portstewart Golf Club sits alongside the Strand beach.
