A lovely cottage set in the rural village of Stodmarsh, Kent. Whether you are looking for days on the beach, countryside walks, museums or sight-seeing around historic Canterbury or neighbouring towns and villages, Marshmede is the perfect base for your holiday. Situated on the edge of a National Nature Reserve, Stodmarsh is ideal for walks or watching birds or other wildlife. Then at the end of the day, relax around the dual aspect log burner and reflect on the days activities.
Having met in the local village pub, The Red Lion and living just outside of Stodmarsh we knew we wanted a slice of this historic village. We are thrilled to be able to offer a nest to those that wish to visit the village that for us is the heart of our story. We have fully renovated the cottage and now offer a short-rental home experience from the moment a guest arrives to the moment they depart. We just want to spread the word about how much we adore this wonderful place and all that it has to offer!
The neighbourhood is small and mostly homeowners. It is beautifully quiet and attracts plenty of birdwatchers and visitors to its beautiful nature reserve which is located just down the road and boasts its own pub, The ever popular, The Red Lion.
