Highland Lodge has recently been refurbished, featuring two bedrooms which contain zip & link beds, which can be made into a double bed or two singles depending on your preference. There is also a pull-down double bed in the lounge area. The lodge can accommodate up to 6 people. The spacious lounge has wonderful views with large patio doors opening into a furnished conservatory area. The interior includes a games table, leather sofa suite & large dining table seating 6. Enjoy some private relaxation with your own traditional sauna enclosed within your lodge. Access to the lodge is via a number of steps (58). All bedrooms are on a lower floor & access to the lounge is via a flight of stairs. The lodge isn’t suitable for someone with mobility impairments or who would experience a challenge with stairs. Pets are welcome and are charged at 20GBP per pet / per week which is payable directly at the Loch Rannoch Highland Club on arrival. Electricity usage is chargeable, and payment will be taken on departure date. Meter readings will be provided at check-in and again at check out. A credit card details will be taken to pre-authorise a hold for the electricity costs.

The village of Kinloch Rannoch is a good place from which to start exploring the Clan Trail. A series of interesting story boards have been placed at accessible points around the loch shore that tell the fascinating tales of clans prominent in the district before the 19th and 20th centuries. There is also a Crannog (artificial island) near the far west of the loch which was used in the 18th century as a base for outlawed members of the MacGregor Clan. For cyclists the quiet flat roads surrounding the loch are ideal for taking in the spectacular views. The road is used for the famous annual Etape Caledonia, a closed road 80-mile cycling event, so you will be in good company.
