This is a large cottage over 3 floors set in the countryside of the High Peak, close to some great walks, pubs and shops. There are beautiful views from the cottage, which is set between the villages of Chinley and Buxworth. In brief, the cottage is comprised of 2 lounges on the ground floor, and a good sized kitchen and dining room on lower ground floor. On the first floor are the main bedroom with double bed, single bedroom and bathroom (see photo of cottage layout). There is a good quality sofa bed in the rear lounge, which is slightly smaller than a double bed. This allows a maximum of 4 people to stay at the cottage comfortably. A welcome pack is provided, including bread, eggs, milk, juice, butter and wine. Toiletries, towels and good quality bedding are also provided, including bedding for sofa bed. Dogs are welcome, upto an absolute maximum of 2. Guaranteed response to any query from hosts within 1 hour.
We have both recently retired, apart from running an Airbnb business at this cottage and also at home. We live 4 miles from the cottage in the village of Hayfield, and absolutely love living in the area.
The cottage is in the High Peak of Derbyshire midway between the villages of Buxworth and Chinley. It is 5 minutes walk from the Peak Forest Tramway trail that provides picturseque, flat walks towards The Bugsworth Basin and canal network in one direction and Chinley in the other direction. For more serious walks, the popular village of Hayfield is 4 miles away, sitting at the base of Kinder Scout and is very popular with walkers. Mam Tor and Edale, also extremely popular are 9 miles away. The nearby villages of Buxworth and Chinley provide the normal range of amenities and eateries for small villages, with larger shops and supermarkets available in Whaley Bridge, (approximately 2.5 miles away)
