We live in Longforgan, Scotland in the country. Parents to 4 kids, 16-21 year olds! Two cats, Lottie & Thomas, our golden Labrador, Oscar and new addition Olive our Cavapoo. We do a lot of traveling as a family and Glencoe has always been a love of ours. We have many happy memories of swimming in the water pools at Glen Etive, where Skyfall was filmed, for the day with a picnic. For a slightly braver dip, the Grey Mares waterfall in Kinlochleven is lovely, even if just for the walk. We have had the best times paddle boarding in Loch Linnhe at sunset and of course, cosy nights with a gin or two at the Clachaig. We are delighted to now have our own little holiday home in Glencoe, we hope you love it as much as we do!

The Glenfinnan Viaduct is a must-see, a fantastic example of engineering of it's time. Now known as the "Harry Potter bridge, which has the see the famous Jacobite steam train cross over it four times daily.
For the cyclist enthusiasts, the cottage is just set in front of the Sustruans Cycle route to Oban ( 29 miles) or in the opposite direction, Ballachulish (4.2 miles) and Glencoe village ( 7 miles). Most of the track is off the main road so quite safe for little ones too!
There is access to swimming pools, sauna and jacuzzi at the Hollytree and Isles of Glencoe hotels for a small fee. Adults only after 8pm.
For eating out, the Hollytree hotel ( dog friendly) is only 1 mile away, with beautiful sea and mountain views as you dine. The steak barn in Appin is amazing but they are very busy so a reservation is required ( dog friendly). Another favourite is the Isles of Glencoe hotel, top quality food and local seafood all available and truly delicious. Quarriers kitchen in Ballachulish village is perfect for a takeaway, they have freshly made pizza's and the fish and chips are amazing! Options to sit in or take out.
