Joe's Cottage is a beautifully renovated two-bedroom holiday home situated in the picture-postcard village of Brigsteer, 3 miles southwest of Kendal, in one of the most accessible parts of the Lake District National Park. Bedroom 1 - Beautifully decorated with exposed wooden beams, a king-size double bed with bedside tables, drawers, and wall-mounted reading lights; freestanding wardrobe; dressing table; en suite bathroom, heated towel rail, walk-in shower, basin and toilet. Bedroom 2 - Exposed wooden beams; a super king-size trundle bed which can be made as a double or two single beds; bedside table, wardrobe and an en suite bathroom, heated towel rail, a bath and shower over, basin with vanity cupboards and toilet. 1 Dog is permitted by prior arrangement. Electric vehicle charging is not permitted. The Owners live in the property next door to Joe's Cottage.

Neighbourhood information

Brigsteer is a hamlet between the Parish of Helsington and the village of Levens and about three miles from Kendal in Cumbria. Located on the edge of the Lyth Valley, with Scout Scar overlooking the village, the village amenities include a village hall and a local pub called The Wheatsheaf Inn, which serves excellent food and a range of real ales & gins. There are still three working farms in the village of Brigsteer, with about 90 houses in total. Park End Moss wetlands is a short walk away, a haven for birds and other wildlife seen readily from the bird hide and in the adjacent Brigsteer Woods. Nearby Levens (2 miles) has more amenities, including a general store/newsagent and a pub. The area consists of beautiful stone-built traditional houses, cottages and barn conversions surrounded by unspoilt countryside, varied flora and fauna and a nature reserve providing a beautiful walking country. Bowness-on-Windermere - 9 Miles Ambleside - 16 Miles Cartmel - 11 Miles Ulverston - 21 Miles
