The house was in an ideal location, very picturesque, quirky, comfortable, very well thought out amenities, the kitchen really worked and had everything you needed, the living area was comfortable and the log burner made it really cosy in the evening. Real thought had been given to guests as there were books and box games for the children plus some great cook books / travel guides. Also the Smart TV was great for movies. Great place to stay and fabulous Sunday roast dinner. Fantastic breakfast, served very hot, and very tasty. I can't believe people are not queueing out the door , we had a great stay for one night in the suite, over the bank holiday. Staff are very friendly and service is so important to them.

Grinkle is surrounded by 35 acres of parkland and gardens, which are home to peacocks and other wildlife. It offers a lake, an award-winning restaurant, various activities and free WiFi.

the location was superb. The room was impressive with a confortable bed and excellent facilities which compensated the lack of 'garden views'. The breakfast was fine, although the 'full breakfast' could have offered a bit more. The poached eggs were at times like boiled eggs..overall a good selection of fresh fruit, lovely croissants and cereals

An absolutely charming and picturesque village.

An absolutely charming and picturesque village. Full of history and character. A treat for photographers and artists. There are lots of options for eating and drinking. There is a very steep hill down to the harbour and back, it may be difficult to manage for some people as there is no vehicular access for visitors.

It is a beautiful village with a maze of quaint meandering streets and lovely cottages. There are some nice walks up each of the cliffs. The views are spectacular. The car park at the top of the village is where the majority of cars must be parked. To get there it is a very steep climb up a hill for around 400-500 metres. If you cottages says parking is included be careful, as usually this means in the car park at the top of the village up the hill, and not in the village itself. To the nearest Supermarket (Co-op) it’s around 1km (up the hill, back to the main road and turn left) Monday mornings in the village are a nightmare as guests try to load their cars and delivery drivers try to drop off

Parking is impossible if you have any problems walking up and down very steep hills as the only carpark is at the top of the hill. Eating out in the evening is limited to 3 places. The high street leading down to the bay is quaint but many of the properties are neglected.

Staithes is an amazing little village right by the sea. Very picturesque and with lots of nice places to eat and drink (especially the Royal George) and a lovely Gallery . It's a great central location for visiting the rest of the seaside villages in North Yorkshire too.

The cottage is very nice and in a great location, parking is a real plus. It could be a top-rated accommodation if managed better. After contacting Host and Stay on our return they apologised for the time spent addressing the problems and have assured us that the issues will be addressed they also made a part refund as a good gesture.

Staithes is a wonderful place full of history and unspoilt. Endevour is in the centre. Although Staithes is tiny. Mountains of food at the St George opposite. Prebooked parking at Glenvale at top of hill for peace of mind...
