Half Moon House is a beautiful traditional brick and flint holiday home for up to 8 guests plus an infant. Dating back to the 1700s it has been tastefully renovated and it has 4 bedrooms (3 with king size beds), 3 bathrooms - 2 en-suite and 1 bathroom with separate shower cubicle and bath, a large dining kitchen with table to seat up to 8 guests and a big cosy sitting room with a wood burner and smart TV and board games. Two ensuite bedrooms are located on the ground floor making it perfect for family gathering and groups of friends allowing everyone a little privacy it required. Outside there is a private west facing secure enclosed courtyard with outdoor furniture to seat 8 and 2 allocated off-street parking spaces for at least 2 cars if not 4 if you park carefully! There are beautiful countryside walks from the front door and a gallery and cafe over the road which opens from 8am and serves delicious breakfast. Quirky Little Walsingham and all its amenities, including pubs, cafes, gift shops and a wonderful farm shop are just a short easy walk away. Home to the Walsingham Abbey Grounds, which are stunning in spring when the snowdrops are out, and an Anglican Shrine, the village has been a famous pilgrimage centre since 1061 - when the Lady of the Manor had a vision of the Virgin Mary. It is also home of the Walsingham to Wells Light railway which runs a frequent steam service and is a must for all ages! The house is well located to explore the jems of the north Norfolk coast further afield such as; Burnham Market, Sandringham, Blakeney, Holt, Cromer and Sheringham to name just a few. This part of Norfolk offers some amazing places to eat; from simple farm shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants - something for all tastes and budgets - whether you require haute cuisine or great fish and chips! There truly is something for everyone and Half Moon House is a quiet peaceful santantury to return to after a busy day exploring and relax and refresh.

Hi Half Moon House is our wonderful Norfolk house. We feel relaxed as soon as we walk through the front door and we hope you will too! We live in Suffolk and have two grown up daughters and two Cocker Spaniels Henry and Bertie. We love the wonderful Norfolk coast and towns and enjoy exploring and walking for miles and miles uninterrupted along the coast. We have had many family holidays in Norfolk and love it as much now, as when we were young. It has so much to offer as a holiday destination. I have worked in the hospitality and event world for many years and been fortunate to travel to some wonderful hotels, so have drawn upon these experiences hopefully to create a little haven for the perfect break with family or friends. Great Walsingham is a lovely traditional sleepy Norfolk village. With its village green and ford across the River Stiffkey. There is a wonderful gallery, gift shop and cafe serving breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner just over the road at Great Walsingham Barns. There are a few cafes and pubs in Little Walsingham only a short pleasant walk away. Beautiful walks from the front door or just a 10 minute drive to Wells Next the Sea with its pretty harbour and stunning dog friendly sandy beach, backed by a pine forest. Great to explore. Wells offers lovely independent shops and boutiques as well as supermarkets, great pubs and restaurants.
