We are pet-friendly home and welcome guests with small dogs at no extra charge. Our guest room is very well equipped and has all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The room is lockable, has a TV/DVD player, wardrobe, luggage stand, mini fridge with fresh milk, kettle, coffee machine, a variety of teas & coffees, hairdryer, dressing gowns & slippers. The room is very quiet and overlooks our serene rear garden. The private bathroom is adjacent to the guest room and has a deep bath and walk-in shower. We provide a healthy Continental Buffet Style Breakfast which includes our home-made bread and fresh fruit smoothies, a selection of cereals, ham, cheese, yoghurts, fresh fruit, coffee & tea. We have SKY Superfast Fibre Unlimited Broadband & WiFi throughout the house. Our kitchen/dining room may be used to prepare light snacks and eat take-away food. We live at our property, which is in a quiet cul-de-sac off of Milestone Road, a very narrow turning adjacent to the Sutherland House hotel on the A258 London Road. Our guests have exclusive use of our parking facilities on our private drive throughout their stay. We are an 18 minute flat walk into Deal town, which offers a variety of restaurants, cafes & pubs, railway station, buses, seafront/pier. We are in an ideal position for the Port of Dover (20-minute drive) and Eurotunnel (40 minute drive). The city of Canterbury is a 35-minute drive.

I am married to Paul and we relocated to Deal from Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire 15 years ago. I am retired from full-time employment and enjoy letting our double room for visitors to our quaint town of Deal. In addition to hosting our guests, I enjoy yoga, walking, cooking, knitting, theatre and cinema. We have a friendly cat named Martha. I am proud to have been awarded Guest Review Awards for 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023 & 2024. This is a yearly appreciation programme that recognises partners for their exceptional hospitality, as evidenced in the review scores left by guests after their stay.

Deal is a quaint seaside town which boasts a selection of restaurants, bars, crafts, olde worlde shops, museums, and the prettiest pebble beach and pier. Deal has also been ranked the top seaside town in Kent in a recent Which magazine survey. As well as two main supermarkets there is also a Saturday farmer's-style market, plus the Astor local community theatre - a hub hosting live music, theatre & literary events, art exhibitions classes & clubs. Deal also has an extensive leisure centre with an indoor swimming pool, tennis centre, sports hall, health & fitness club & sauna/steam suite. In nearby Walmer there is The Lighthouse, a music & arts centre offering an eclectic mix of music and creative events with artists from all over the UK.
