Edgemoor Manor is a beautiful property set in picturesque grounds, right next to Dartmoor – perfect for countryside getaways, nature walks, and weekend breaks. Built in 1879, Edgemoor Manor was once Bovey Tracey Grammar School for boys. All rooms at Edgemoor Manor are tastefully decorated and have tea and coffee making facilities, a dressing table, television, and mirrors. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and a peaceful stay is guaranteed. Whist we do not offer breakfast there are many local cafes nearby in Bovey Tracey, Ullacombe Farm seems to be a favourite. Your hosts Debbie and Patrick and they occupy most of the main building. There is no longer a bar or any other amenities on the estate and the accommodation on offer is self catering cottages and a handful of rooms, with separate entrances. There is no daily cleaning facility however, the hosts are happy to provide extra towels, tea, coffee etc. ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS: Edgemoor Manor can be found on Haytor Road, opposite Colehays Park. Please enter the Estate from the side entrance. The sign may say 'Private'. This is for your comfort so please just ignore and park your car in the large car park. Please note, your accommodation is via a separate entrance so please come to the main front door where we will hand you the keys and show you your entrance and accommodation.

This great outdoor space also offers challenges for those with the energy, with its many Tors, cycling hills, fishing spots, wild swimming, climbing, and horse riding. South Devon Towns and Villages - South Devon’s many coastal gems and picturesque settlements are located within just one hour radius of the hotel. Take a day trip to Salcombe for the art galleries, high street, and restaurants. Or ride the sea tractor to the shores of beautiful Burgh Island. Noss Mayo is a tiny paradise for birdwatchers, ramblers, and anglers. While Budleigh Salterton is ideal for a seaside trip complete with fish and chips and luxurious ice cream.
