Welcome to Dunston Stables, a unique loft apartment based within a peaceful and stunning rural location just outside of the English Riviera and Newton Abbot. Refurbished to a high standard in a modern style, the apartment comes with all your mod cons allowing you to enjoy the idyllic surroundings without compromising comfort. The apartment can sleep up to 4 guests and is outfitted with link beds allowing for your choice of double or single beds in each room according to your needs. IMPORTANT NOTE: The apartment sits atop a stable and so comfort around horses is a must for all guests! We ask that all guests be respectful of the animals and do not feed them, enter the stable yard, fields or schooling arena. Please also bear in mind the apartment is in a roof so has sloping ceilings with limited head height in places. Upon arrival you will find us in peaceful isolation along a country road with spectacular views across Dartmoor. Dunston Stables is set in the grounds to the left of the main house. There is parking for two cars. Due to stairs leading up to the apartment it would not be advised for those with low mobility.

Situated in a quiet country lane and next to the John Musgrave Heritage trail, the apartment makes an ideal base for an adventurous hiking holiday or a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of town/city life. Dartmoor, Newton Abbot, Teignmouth, Exeter and Torbay are all a short drive away meaning you will be spoilt for choice of where to visit next. Fourteen beaches in Devon have been awarded Blue Flag status for 2021. Eight of which are in Torbay and Teignbridge so you will be spoilt for choice. Just a five minute drive to Torquay if you fancy a trip to the theatre followed by a fantastic meal in one of the many waterfront restaurants. Or you may want to take the Torquay to Brixham boat trip (approx 30 minutes weather permitting) to visit the world renown Brixham harbour which is home to the Golden Hind museum ship and choose some freshly caught fish to cook for dinner. The children may also enjoy Paignton zoo, Quaywest Waterpark or some crazy golf followed by a movie at the Paignton Vue Cinema – the choice is endless. Head in the other direction and you can enjoy Dartmoor which needs no introduction, its simply spectacular!
