Situated in the beautiful River Dove Valley, a self catering holiday home Dove Cottage Crowdecote is perfectly located for walkers and the outdoor adventurer. Be it Parkhouse and Chrome Hills or Hartington via the valley, High Wheeldon or further afield a warm welcome awaits you in an old and quirky country house. Bedding is provided as part of your stay however please bring your own Towels, Toiletries and Toilet Rolls. Please note there is NO facility to charge electric vehicles at the property. Apologies but we do NOT allow Dogs, Cats or other Pets to stay at this property.
I work during the daytime but will be free to offer help if needed in the evenings and weekends, I can be contacted by phone 24 hours a day the telephone number and an email address is in the welcome manual and guide on the dining room table when you arrive.
Crowdecote is a small and quiet typical English village with its own Pub and river running through, popular with walkers and the outdoor enthusiast, Agriculture is the main industry, Cows and Sheep roam the fields accompanied by the usual wildlife, located rurally you can expect to see farm vehicles using the same roads which sometimes can be quite large. It is worth bearing in mind that while being rural is rather a pleasure the everyday travel amenities cant be taken for granted, Taxis are quite expensive as they have to travel from the local towns and charge a surcharge for such, there is a Bus Stop in the Village that services the local town and surrounding villages but wait times can be frustrating. Your own car is by far the best form of transport. Dove Cottage has Parking for three vehicles maximum, please do not park on the lane or in the village.
