Our cosy traditional cottage is situated at the foot hills of the Black Mountains, 7km from the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye. The cottage has a large south facing patio overlooking open countryside, woodland and with a backdrop of mountains. Curlew Cottage has been sympathetically restored to offer a well equipped holiday cottage which has two double bedrooms and an upstairs bathroom with a further downstairs bathroom which includes a claw foot bath. The cottage has a separate dining room as well as a lounge with a table also in the kitchen if preferred. The patio overlooks a typical cottage garden and fish pond with a waterfall.
Angela lives with her husband next door and is a retired Music Teacher Tony is a retired Canoe Instructor with a wide interest and experience in Outdoor Activities. Both are on hand to offer help and guidance to make your visit a memorable one.
The Wye valley and its idyllic towns and villages are famous for their peaceful, friendly welsh hospitality amongst a backdrop of outstanding natural beauty. Public transport is limited in this area however there are bus connections to Hereford, Brecon, Cardiff and of course, locally to Hay-on-Wye and other villages. The various paths and extensive rural roads provide excellent cycle and walking routes.
