Take a break from everyday life & enjoy a stay at the Carpenters. A cosy place close to the sea. The cabin was built initially as summer house & recently converted to a cosy cabin with shower room ensuite in a private, South facing rear fenced garden. An amazing base for walking, or cycling, just a stone’s throw from the beach and close to the beautiful Kent Countryside. The hand built cabin is fully equipped for your stay with kitchen, shower, double bed, powered reclining sofa & hot tub.A 15 minute walk takes you to Birchington Railway Station & a 10 minute walk takes you to the bus stops on the main road towards either Margate, Broadstairs & Ramsgate or Canterbury. Parking is generally pay & display but there is free parking around subject to availability. A dedicated off road parking space is provided for all guests and parking in Epple Bay Avenue is free.
We love camping an enjoying short breaks ourselves, this is cabin is in the garden of our family home.I give my guests space but am available when needed Its, your holiday so please enjoy, if you need anything please call us
We are a two minute walk from the sea, accessed either end of Epple Bay. Epple Bay Avenue runs parallel to the sea, but we are not on the coastal side of the road. A promenade walkway accessed via a ramp or steps takes you towards Minnis Bay or a coastal path in the opposite direction takes you towards Westgate on Sea & Margate's Golden Sands. A cycle path also takes you from Minnis Bay to the Roman Fort at Reculver. Minnis Bay is popular for Kite & Windsurfing, sailing & walking. The 'Minnis' Bar & Restaurant situated on the seafront is also popular for seaside refreshments. You can also take a short drive to explore the Kent Country side, visit the Turner Gallery or Dreamland Amusement Park in Margate, the City of Canterbury or visit Dover & take a Ferry for a day trip to France. There are number of pubs & restaurants within walking distance The Minnis, Powell Arms & The Wine Bar which all serve food. Quex Barn sits on the outskirts of the village and has a licensed restaurant and the most amazing deli counter.
