The building dates back to 1812, and was formally a school and hospital, the apartment is in the old committee room, where the governors use to meet, and includes period features such as original stripped floor, fireplace and ceiling rose. You can park outside the building to load and unload. There is a parking permit that allows free parking in the near by streets, there are also several car parks close by, 2-10 minutes walk if you prefer.

The area has a pleasant vibe and is close to all attractions. The Street has a wealth of Bars, Restaurants and Cafes, along with some individual shops and is partially pedestrianised during the day. There is Tesco Express and Sainsbury's Local supermarket just around the corner.
