Caithness is a beautiful, spacious and comfortable 6 bedroomed holiday home - perfect for large families - situated on the banks of the Monmouthshire Brecon Canal. It sleeps up to 10 and is a real home from home, run by a small family business. It boasts the most beautiful views and is the perfect destination to enjoy a relaxing escape to the welsh countryside. The ground floor comprises a cosy lounge with comfy sofas, a log fire* and a large smart TV. A spacious kitchen diner with a double oven, induction hob, a dishwasher and fridge freezer. Utility room with washing machine & tumble dryer along with ironing facilities. W/C and a quiet study with desk & swivel chair, armchairs and a range of books & board games. There is also a games room with a 3-in-1 revolving games table including pool/air hockey/table tennis and a cinema projector with Netflix access. *Log fire available from Oct - March. In addition to the 6 bedrooms, the first floor showcases a large bathroom with walk in shower & freestanding bath. There is also an additional shower room with a toilet and basin. Shampoo/conditioner/shower gel dispensers within both.

The house is situated towards the end of a cul-de-sac, pleasantly positioned right alongside the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal. It is a quiet and peaceful location. There's a mix of elderly residents and young families on the residential street which we ask guests to be mindful of during their stay. Caithness Holiday Home is in the town of Pontypool, right along the canal, opposite the towpath, of which there are 36 miles to explore. The beautiful 150-acre Pontypool Park is only a short walk away, with historical features such as the Folly Tower & Shell Grotto. There's also a leisure centre, children's play area and even a dry ski slope. The popular Horse & Jockey pub and restaurant is within walking distance. There are also a range of dining options, attractions and activities suitable for the whole family within the surrounding towns of Cwmbran, Abergavenny, Usk and Newport. The house is a great base to explore the nearby Brecon Beacons National Park or even attend an event being held in the centre of Cardiff. We would recommend you have the use of a car during your stay. Please note, a damage deposit is due 30 days prior to check-in. It will be returned to you 7 days following check-out provided no damage is found.
