The gardens to the rear of the property belong to the ground-floor apartment. There are two internal steps down from the entrance hall and two steps up to the kitchen, please take care. Butterfield 8 is a wonderful base for exploring the beautiful region of Norfolk.

Docking is primarily made up of charming mediaeval houses, many of which are made of local flint stones, and has a variety of amenities, including a fish and chip shop, Post Office, village store, and a family tavern that serves cuisine. A playing field with a children's play area, a bowling green, a tennis court, and a nearby fishing lake are also available.
