Bronllys Farm is a private residence with extensive grounds, large forecourt and wonderful panoramic sea views. The original buildings date to around 1860 and there has been some extensions in more recent years plus the addition of a renovated self catering bungalow on the site, Bluebell Cottage. We have some long term lodgers upstairs and some rooms downstairs that are available to rent on a short term basis. The double en-suite apartment is in a modern extension and the Rustic Annex is a restored old outbuilding that is now connected to the main house with a utility room. The huge kitchen/diner in the main house has full facilities for use by guests and you will often find someone to chat to who may be from anywhere in the world. We have a relaxed family feel to the property and guests are able to socialise as much or as little as they wish with either residents or guests. We have fantastic views but as in much of Wales we are up a hill and both driveway entrances are quite steep. The parking areas and forecourt are flat however. Walking to the coastal path can be a challenge for the less mobile but there are several beaches and flat coastal walks with a short drive

Many thanks for choosing us for your stay. I, Vic, work from home managing the property alongside some on-line investment business interests. My wife Una has recently retrained as an Occupational Therapist and works locally. Our three daughters are away in various places but do like to come back from time to time to enjoy the area and for the surfing! We have had the holiday cottage since 2004 and have more recently added other accommodation options both within and ouitside the main farmhouse to suit a variety of budgets and group sizes. We are usually available to help with any local advice and recommend places to visit or eat and love to meet new people over a tea/ coffee/glass of wine and a welshcake. The area is not only beautiful but has a rich industrial past being one of the very first areas in the world for heavy industry : coal mining, iron and steel, copper and especially tin. The world's first can of beer was produced at a brewery nearby and the Heinz Company first canned it's products with local tin. Tourism a main focus now and we have castles, countryside and coastline. Bronllys Farm overlooks the lovely Gower Peninsula, Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are situated half way along the Millennium Coastal Path with all the features and the scenic cycle track. The town of Burry Port is just a few miles away with the old coal harbour and lighthouse. It was here that the famous American aviator, Amelia Erhart, landed after becoming the first lady to fly across the Atlantic. Pembrey Country Park has an award winning beach, dry ski slope, toboggan, adventure playground, golf and barbeque areas. In easy reach we have bustling Swansea, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons, Carmarthen - the oldest town in Wales and the birthplace of the legendary Merlin - and a bit further on the wonderful coastal path into Pembrokeshire.
