Our cottages are in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful scenery and picture postcard villages. We aim to offer a friendly, personal service to each of our customers through our extensive knowledge of both the cottages and the local area. Our aim is to make it easy for you to find and book your perfect cottage holiday, and make unforgettable memories in this stunning place we call home.

Bridge End is an enchanting haven for up to three guests, set in the picturesque village of Langthwaite in Arkengarthdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This cosy holiday cottage has a wonderful mix of modern amenities blended with original features including natural stonework, flagged floors, beamed ceilings and a wood burning stove in the living room – perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the Dales and surrounding areas. We are dog friendly and welcome visitors with four-legged family members. As you enter Bridge End there is a comfortable living room with a wood burning stove that leads through into a well equipped farmhouse kitchen and dining area. From the kitchen, double doors open on to a peaceful patio area overlooking the Arkle Beck, a perfect spot for a morning coffee or relaxing on a summer evening. Upstairs the main bedroom has a king-size bed, wardrobe and dresser with open truss ceiling, wood flooring and open views to the front. A second, petite bedroom has a single bed. The bathroom is accessible from the landing with a walk-in shower, wash basin, W.C. and heated towel rail. To the front is a forecourt with adequate space for parking one car.

There are an abundance of walks and cycle routes in the area, many of which are accessible straight from the cottage including walks along the Arkle Beck or more challenging hikes up Calver Hill or Fremington Edge, and numerous mountain and road bike rides. There are two pubs within walking distance of the holiday cottage. The Red Lion, a fantastic traditional Yorkshire Dales pub, less than 100 yards away, with a wonderful landlady, who has been serving locals and visitors for almost 60 years. She is a fountain of local knowledge. A ten minute walk further up the dale is the CB Inn, a gastro pub renowned for its locally sourced food, extensive wine and gin lists and various real ales. Sunday lunch at the CB is a must. Reeth is a short 3-mile drive away with amenities such as three pubs (all dog friendly). There are also several cafes, an ice cream parlour, two bakeries, gift shops, a Post Office, the Swaledale Museum and arts and crafts centre, Swaledale bike centre, the hub of road and mountain biking in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Every Friday Reeth has a wonderful market on the green where you can get excellent local cheese, meat and veg.
