Briar Cottage is a stylish and indulgent place to stay – perfect for a romantic break as a couple, or equally great to visit with family or friends when exploring the Peak District. Located within one of the most picturesque villages in Derbyshire, Briar Cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and you’ll feel pampered and loved here. Everything has been thought of to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible, from sumptuous sofas, brand new bathrooms and Dartington Crystal glassware to outdoor dining, oh-so-comfy mattresses and a Smart TV. Cyclists love the challenging hills all around and there are multitudes of walks in all directions from the village. Carsington Water just one mile away offers sailing and other watersports as well as birdwatching, walks, shops and dining. Ashbourne, Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton and Belper are all within a short drive, as is Dovedale, Chatsworth House, the High Peak Trail and lots more besides. The village pub – The Barley Mow – is a famous, historic inn with bags of character and great local beer.
