It’s the perfect choice for those seeking a romantic retreat with an abundance of rural pursuits on the doorstep. Newly converted, this inviting cottage mixes modern home comforts, exposed woods, and cosy soft furnishings throughout. There is a small private terrace with seating. Bramling Cross is named for a variety of hops first harvested at Wye College in 1927. They used to be grown in the area and are still used by Brew Dog Brewery who describe them as “elegant, refined, assured and understated”. This is the aspiration for the cottage. Sadly the hop-yards that surrounded the property were cleared in 2020. Being nestled within a rural hamlet, guests are not short of wildlife. Buzzards and sparrow hawks are seen here regularly with occasional visits from the peregrines that are resident in Worcester Cathedral! Little owls, tawny owls and barn owls are often heard if not seen. You will see plenty of winter migrants too - one of which is the bramling! It’s not just for the birds though.
