Bothan Beag is a cosy cottage located at the centre of Nethy Bridge in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park. The area is popular with walkers, skiers, cyclists, and motorcyclists. It also offers a vast array of other activities for outdoor enthusiasts. There are many whisky distilleries nearby offering tours and tastings. The single story cottage dates back to the 1860s. However, during 2018 it was stripped back to the original walls and completely refurbished. The accommodation on offer comprises a spacious living area, fully fitted kitchen, comfortable bedroom and bathroom with shower. Bothan Beag is ideally suited for two guests, however the double sofa bed in the living room is comfortable and suitable for a further two people should you wish. Outside, the cottage has a secluded patio and enclosed garden area at the rear of the property. Guests can also enjoy sitting by the riverside within the main garden - the River Nethy and the Nethy Bridge both form part of the boundaries. We have an outside tap and hose so bikes/motorbikes can be washed down after use. Off road parking is available next to the cottage.

Brett, Fiona, and their kids Finn and Ceit live in the house next door to Bothan Beag Holiday Cottage, along with Hiccup the black lab and cats Ronin and Ruby. Brett owns a nearby car servicing garage whilst Fiona works at the local Primary School. We look forward to welcoming you to this special part of the Scottish Highlands.

Nethy Bridge is a popular village in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park. Bothan Beag is ideally located centrally in the village with all local amenities just a minute or two away on foot. Nethy House Cafe and Rooms is directly opposite serving delicious food and drinks during the day. The Nethybridge Hotel is also adjacent to the property and serves a full range of drinks as well as lunches and evening meals. Just across the road you will find Balliefurth Farm Shop offering a wide range of fresh meats, vegetables and other luxury treats. A vast network of paths suitable for all abilities can be reached within minutes by walking or cycling from Bothan Beag. Nethy Bridge also provides the perfect base for accessing a huge range of other outdoor activities including hillwalking, birdwatching, clay pigeon shooting, pony trekking, kayaking, canyoning, quad biking, zip lining, skiing, mountain biking, and a whole lot more. Speyside is a world famous whisky region with a large number of distilleries a short drive from the property. Come explore the Highlands and all we have to offer.
