Homestay Isabella is a 200 year old farmhouse situated on a country lane 5 minutes drive from the picturesque village of Availles-Limouzine or a 20 minute walk along the footpaths/cycling paths. There is ample private parking at the property and also a dry barn with power suitable for bicycles/motor bikes. To the rear of the house is a sunny terrace where guests can sit and relax and a table for alfresco dining. The garden is laid out mainly to grass with various areas left wild to help make the area have a natural ambience: and where our brahma chickens range freely along with our 5 cats. Inside there is a small hall with kettle/microwave /fridge freezer/plates/cutely and bistro table for guests to use Home cooked meals are also available. Guests have their own staircase/landing/bathroom with over the bath shower. There are 2 bedrooms a double ( standard size double bed ) and a twin both with beautiful views over the surrounding French countryside. On the landing area there is also a sofa and tea and coffee making facilities Guests have sole use of this side of the house; so whether you are travelling alone or as a couple you will not have to share facilities with other guests.

Life in southwest France is idyllic ad we enjoy sharing our piece of paradise with our guests. The village of Availles-Limouzine is perched on the banks of the majestic River Vienne with parts dating back to medieval times. The village boasts an A la carte restaurant and a cafe. Homestay Issabella can also cater to vegetarians and vegans The village is well served for shops a grocery store/chemist/hairdressers/butchers/bread shop/florist/post office/garage and bank. The village campsite has a crazy golf course/canoe hire/small swimming pool and a bistro In the historic town of Confolens ( 20 minute drive away ) is a large communal swimming pool complex where a small entry fee is charged, a similar complex is situated at L Isle Jourdain again about 20 minutes drive away. A bit further are the beautiful swimming/boating Charente lakes with the restaurant Soleil Couchant serving food all day/6 days a week. The list of beautiful places to visit is endless obviously Limoges/Anguleme/Poitier/Oradour sur Glane the martyred village and last but not least the scenic village of St Germaine de Confolens with its stunning ruined castle perfect for picnics.
