On the outskirts of a pretty little village surrounded by vines and beautiful open countryside, this 3bedroom 8person apartment is ideally placed for walking in the hills, taking in the natural Beauty of the local area and yet only 5 minutes from Limoux, the birthplace of French fizz, with its weekly market and a choice of good restaurants and bar’s, and under half an hour from the magnificent medieval UNESCO city of Carcassone. Local swimming, windsurfing and paddleboarding lake available nearby. This is a beautiful historic area, with lots of Cathar castles to visit nearby. The Tour de France famous cycling race goes through Limoux and then right past the village, a spectacular view not to be missed. The apartment is the only rental on the property so privacy and exclusivity are assured. The 2 double bedrooms are both spacious and also each have futons for added flexibility and convenience. The third bedroom has 2 single beds and a bunk bed so perfect for the children. All bedding is new. The kitchen is fully equipped and there’s also the option of the summer kitchen next to the pool, perfect for outdoors barbecue and eating under the shade. It’s such a nice place, I love it here
I live in a separate part of the house with my lovely boxer dog so am always available if required
The village and surrounding area is very quiet, vines, olive tree groves and wild hilly walking tracks. You are really enclosed by nature, beautiful. Only 5 minutes to Limoux, under half an hour to Carcassonne, swimming lakes nearby, this is Cathar country, full of castles, chateaux and history. Mediterranean beaches and Pyrenees ski resorts are only approximately 1 hour drive away. TGV station and airport (Ryanair) both at Carcassonne. Walking, cycling, jogging, or just driving around, the local area is covered in small lanes, tracks and open countryside between the vines and olive trees. No public transportation locally, rural train from Limoux, TGV and airport at Carcassonne
