The maison is renovated and restored by the Dutch couple Angela & Kay Steuns. There country house, terrace, hills and surroundings offer countless possibilities and have breathtaking views. A tonal pallet of emerald hills, amber trees, sandstone paths, and wildflowers paint the picturesque decor of NOUS’ pristine surroundings. The area around the maison is a playground for little wanderers. With a swimming pool to plunge in and a spacious front garden made for playing games. With a terraced hillside, the nature around NOUS is perfect for creating private spots for picnics, bonfire nights and stargazing. The maison is made up of the master house where the family lives, and 4 boutique lofts that radiate tranquility, peace and privacy. Decorated in the minimalist and contemporary style of stylist Angela Steuns, the lofts offer lots of natural lighting, soft shades and earthy tones, polished concrete floors and wooden accents. Though similar in their tonal pallet, each loft has its own unique personality, showcasing the couple’s furniture from family heirlooms to treasures from their travels. Each loft offers a serene space with a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. The living room offers a large, comfortable sofa bed and ensuite doors that open up onto your private patio with panoramic views of the beautiful countryside. Note: Only Loft No.02 gives access to your lovely pet. NOUS is also the perfect place to book as a group accommodation because of the private atmosphere.

We are Kay and Angela, parents of Daan and Pippa. We have always created an extraordinary life for ourselves and the people around us. In the Netherlands, Angela was an entrepreneur while Kay worked for the Ministry of Defence. In addition to our work, we transformed an old farmhouse with stables into a unique place to live, overlooking a meadow. When our dream house was finished, it was time to dream again: That is why we are here now in Agel. We are happy to welcome you.

Agel is located in the region of Languedoc-Roussillon, in the departement Hérault. The petite village of Agel offers idyllic French elements in its cultural history and architecture. If you are looking for a beautiful and quiet rest stop on your travels, Agel is a central location at the Route du Soleil, for all travelers to Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. This region offers sunshine almost year-round; Languedoc-Roussillon boasts both mountains and sea, so you can swelter by the coast but feel chilly in the hills if you don’t pack your winter woollies. The autumn and winter season offer many excuses for walking and exploring. These beautiful sunny days are particularly suitable for hiking by the sea and inland. And what could be more romantic than a beach in winter? Superb promenade along the Mediterranean. Also, in this region you will find many fisherman’s villages and harbour towns – as well as modern marinas.
