The accommodation is a semi-detached house, very bright, functional and welcoming. With a magnificent view over the countryside and numerous trees (walnut, olive, almond, hazelnut...) and plants (lavender, thyme...). The entrance is via the terrace, which has an outdoor table, sun loungers and an electric barbecue, as well as an automatic awning to keep out the summer sun. Inside is a living/dining room with dining table and TV area (satellite, stereo). There are also a number of books for your entertainment and board games. The first bedroom has a double bed and a built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and a chest of drawers for storing your belongings. The kitchen opens onto the living room (1 hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, freezer, electric coffee machine). Shower and WC are separate. Electric heating. Also available: washing machine, iron. Internet (WIFI connection, free of charge). Parking space (2 cars). Electricity consumption is the responsibility of the customer outside the summer season.
My family settled in Ampus in the 1970s. My grandfather lives in a house close to the dwelling and my father also lives in the village. Originally from southern Italy, my grandfather fell in love with this countryside. He planted almost all the trees on the property. We also have chickens and dogs (all very friendly, they stay in their park or generally follow my grandfather) on the property.
The area is very quiet, with few neighbours and plenty of open space, with the Fontigon canal nearby. The property is also close to many of the region's points of interest (Lac de Sainte-Croix, Fréjus and the sea...). Halfway between Tourtour, one of the most beautiful villages in France, and Ampus. The village of Ampus is recognised as a village of character in the Var, with its picturesque narrow streets, shady squares, gurgling fountains and peaceful wash-houses - a haven of peace. You'll find restaurants, bars and shops in the village.
