La Charnière offers a 4* classified retreat in the heart of the Limousin countryside. With a rural location, tasteful furnishings, private garden with hot tub and seasonal access to a shared 8m x 4m heated outdoor pool, what more do you need to escape, relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings? La Charnière is tastefully decorated and furnished giving a cosy and homely yet luxurious and modern feel. Features such as a stylish, well-equipped kitchen, super king-size bed with high-quality bedding and linens, a rainfall shower, and private garden with hot tub exclusively for your use and an outdoor pool ensure La Charnière stands out from the norm. The cottage is finished to a high specification in a contemporary style, but retains a wealth of character features. There is a dedicated Wi-fi network, English and French TV. La Charnière offers guests a luxury retreat with plenty of extras included in our standard rate to make your stay relaxing, indulgent and enjoyable from the moment you arrive. A warm welcome awaits you all year, we have flexible arrival and departure times and no set changeover days which allows you to be flexible in your arrangements.
Whilst La Charnière is part of our home, it is completely separate and private. We have purposely restored the cottage to offer luxurious and private guest accommodation. We leave guests to themselves, but are on hand if needed for assistance or questions. We are happy to offer a concierge service during your stay from arranging days out to restaurant reservations and also offer our guests extensive information on local events and attractions. La Charnière is in Chadalais, part of the commune of Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire in the Parc Natural Regional Perigord. Being in the Perigord Vert, we are surrounded by lush green pasture and woodland with the Limousin countryside right on our doorstep. Whilst situated rurally, we are on the border of the Haute Vienne (87), Charente (16) and Dordogne (24) and as such have excellent accessibility to many small villages and larger towns for their amenities and attractions. Being in the south west of France, we generally have pleasant weather year-round. Long, warm summers and comparatively mild winters meaning it is a destination is suitable for all seasons whether its summer sunbathing or winter walks. Chadalais is a quiet hamlet offering peace and tranquility in the French Countryside, however, we are just a 10-minute drive from the village of Saint Mathieu with its supermarket, boulangerie, cafe, post office, tabac and bars. The larger towns of Rochechouart, La Rochefoucauld, Piegut-Pluviers, Nontron, Montbron, Saint Junien and Confolens- and many smaller villages- are all within a scenic 30-minute drive and the cities of Limoges and Angouleme are both around 45 minutes away.
