A big big city with lots of great and beautiful things and some ugly and bad things. Choice of vegan food is fairly limited - even fast food chains which have vegan food in our country (and globally) did not have it in Paris. Favourite places: Eiffel tower, Louvre, Seine, Versailles, Arc de Triomphe, Champs D'Elysees. Ate in rented flat, vegan fast foods and Thai/Vietnamese restaurant. Avoid tourist traps - they are everywhere and they are very expensive!

The city is very pretty but the long queues everywhere and the high prices made it a bit difficult to enjoy it to the fullest. For me personally Paris is best to go to some museums about art (Louvre mostly for its art and very specific statues) and some wine and bites in the evening.

Best to book tickets to major attractions beforehand so avoid queues. Its difficult to visit more than 3 or 4 attractions per day if you plan to see galleries and the like. Get the paris museum pass if you plan to see galleries, museums, versailles, etc.
For transport you can buy a navigo pass at most stations, and get it for zones 1-3 as most major attractions are located within them. For versailles you can just travel to the end of zone 3 and get just a short ticket from there to versailles, as it will be cheaper than taking the train from city center.
In less touristy areas they dont speak english so it will be a bit difficult. Souvenirs from tour eiffel are expensive, better get them from around notre dame area. City is very clean, well indicated and easy to get around.

I haven't been in Paris for a long while so my family went to all the usual touristy places....which were fine. But Paris is messy, crowded and cruel with robberies, pick pockets, graffiti, and unpoliced areas. Garbage from overflowing garbage cans everywhere!! I would not return again but rather go to wine areas or historic areas way outside of Paris. You have to use the metro or trains to get around....that was fine, but the level of protection needed from all the young kids making a living of picking pockets and gangs of adults bumping into you to detect open pockets was alarming and disturbing...especially hearing that this activity is permitted in Paris as long as the passports are somehow returned. Disgraceful...and we saw kids....KIDS...handing passports over to ticket agents in the metro and then just walking away laughing. My advice.....zip up everything you have and don't wear any jewelry. Keep everything in the front of you ....NOTHING in the back pockets. Otherwise a lot of the sights were pretty nice...LOTS and LOTS of walking which we expected. We were there in mid March.

Traveling on the Metro was fun and easy, and it travels to all of the most significant Tourist Sites. The Hop on- Hop off Busses and Boats are an excellent way to get an overall view of the city. Check out speciality tours, ie. Black Paris for an in depth history of African Americans in Paris and/or Walking Tours of different areas.

This was my 3rd trip to Paris and I still love it, but it was expensive, and there were so many tourists, even though I deliberately came in the off season (it was spring, but early April, not yet the summer season). I always find it amazing to see so many iconic and historical sites. I was able to see the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral exactly 3 years after the devastating fire, and it was humbling and hope-inspiring to see how much work had already taken place to restore this landmark. The photo exhibition was well done, and gave people a way of connecting with the story. It is always thrilling to see the Eiffel Tower, and as I was with a friend who'd never been to Paris, (and we were both coping with some health issues) we decided to do an open top bus tour, and this was a great way of seeing all the important, iconic sites without walking for miles, or trying to get on and off Metro trains and buses, but it is not for everyone, and you really need to get into the narrow lanes and walk away from the tourist attractions to find some great cafes, bars and places to enjoy a reasonably priced meal. Do hydrate!! Always hydrate! Paris water is very safe!
If you plan to visit any of the galleries and museums do book tickets in advance, and don't try to do 6 hour days, basically 2 1/2 to 3 hours will be enough at one time, then you need to get outside and get some fresh air! Restaurants and cafes in museums tend to be very expensive and there are often queues for them.
The front desk people were extremely helpful, especially, Eloise. She went out of her way to help us with directions, maps, finding buses, metro, etc. She was always positive and cheerful. We were at Hotel E. L. for the first 6 days of a 3 week tour of France, and she really stands out as an advertisement for your country. Plus, our French was poor and her English was great.
The breakfasts were good, plenty of a wide array of food.
Location was good . Facilities very clean.
Thank you for a good start to our trip.
For such a central location, I think the price we paid was worth it. There were much cheaper options outside the city centre but we thought the convenience of being in such a central and lively part of town was worth it. The room was small as is in every typical hotel room in Paris. But it was clean, had comfy beds, a nice window and view and airconditioning, which we needed the most when we went in the summer. They also have free luggage storage and breakfast for an additional fee (restaurant was at the ground floor).
Cheap hotel if visiting Paris on a low budget. The location is perfect and close to many restaurants, a metro stop, and bus stations which was perfect for exploring Paris. The room was very small but it was expected. I can't review the breakfast as it wasn't included in our room, but it didn't look too bad. We chose to eat at the nearby restaurants which could become pricey if doing it every morning. Overall, the hotel was perfect for our stay and they even stored our luggage after checking out free of charge.
Fantastic customer service from the duty manager. I have forgot his name but wanted to recognize him for the great support, attention and real customer service from him. It started already when we parked the car to unload the suitcases and he was very prompt with parking instructions and later with some small issues we had. He is originally from Vietnam but lives in France for many years and is a true great asset for the hotel. Thanks!
The beds were very comfortable and the bedlinens were lovely. We were upgraded to a superior room and found the size of the room and bathroom quite large by Parisian standards. The street was quiet and the AC was quiet. We had the best sleeps during a month in France. Serge was very friendly. The location was perfect for walking to places or catching the RER or Metro. Would definitely stay again.
Room was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful with bus tickets and directions. Location was lovely in the Montmartre area lots of cafes, restaurants to walk about and just that little away from all the hustle and bustle of Paris center, buses were cheap and easy to use if you have someone clever on the phone maps.
Cheap hotel in a good location in Paris. Nothing fancy but clean and the staff is friendly. For the price, you cannot go wrong. I have stayed here multiple times, I cannot figure out why it has been rated poorly. It is great for the price and all I can assume is people have ridiculous expectations when it comes to budget accommodation.
I assume this is the best value for the money in Paris. It is a small room with everything you need if you are ok with the basics—great location, restful and quiet.
We walked everywhere from here.
We got there using the metro which was cheaper than the taxi.
From the hotel to ORLY Airport was a short 18minutes ride for 27 Euros
Nice location if you are a tourist. Lifht just reaches 5 floor, so if you are located in the 6st, you must use stairs. Recepcionist was friendly, literally, we use this hotel only for sleeping. Price, quality and location were good. Around corner you will find one of the best pizzerias in Paris, actually it was cheapest.
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel France Albion. My room was quite comfortable, everyone at the hotel was very helpful. I enjoyed the neighborhood, there was a great variety of food options in the neighborhood. Also, there were a couple convenient Metro stations very close by. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
.
Very good location, near De Clichy square.
De Clichy and La Fourch metro stations are within walking distance to the hotel, with lots of supermarkets and restaurants.
The staff were specially nice and helpful.
Costing less than 70 per night, it was one of the cheapest in Paris during my visit.
Spacious room ,good lights and internet connection.I was particularly impressed by water hose in the bathroom which is unique among hotels in France.Breafast is amazing. The hotel is centrally located and 5 minute walk to the Arc de triumph and the champs. It is also connected to a mall.
The location is very nice. In my opinion, this is the best arrondissement in Paris. Lively neighbourhood, lots of restaurants, a metro away from most locations. The room is very clean, the staff is very helpful. Internet is good also, which is a big thing in France
Great location. Nice, quaint hotel with homey feel. France was very helpful in accommodating my family with a larger room with a view. It was our first visit to Paris and he upgraded us to a larger room near the end of our stay. Paul and Nelson were kind as well.
Nice, cheap hotel in a good location of Paris, lots of shops and attractions nearby. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fit for purpose. The rooms were quiet which is also good. Very close to a train station so good to get around by public transport!
The location of this hotel is just great, all nice places are reachable by foot, it is a very quiet and “Parisian-like” (if such a thing exist. The staff is amazing and always available to give hand. Very cheap for this area! I definitely recommend this hotel!
The hotel is ideally situated. Best to park in Vichy Montmartre car park and book in advance. We got a free upgrade which we appreciated. Largest room I ever stayed in in Paris. It's not cheap but worth it for a treat.
Great location, clean room, incredible staff. Staff went over and above to help us and store our luggage for over three weeks while we’re on a bike trip in France. I plan to stay here the next time I visit Paris.
Nice Hotel in the middle of Paris. Many good restaurants. Kind staff at the little coasy hotel. Breakfast ok in France. Clean room. No wardrobe for clothes. Close to Metro and sightseeing.
- the location is central however if you pick a hotel 12 min walk further north you’re in the best area in Paris
- cheap due to deals on booking.com for me
