Cronin's Guesthouse is s one of the most unique small guesthouses in Finland. Cronin family started there in March 2003. Before this the guesthouse was called Gasthaus Mühlenstube, run by a German-Finnish family. This guesthouse is very idyllic and full of history, as it has been running continuously already for over 35 years. Cronin family is living in the same building, so it has a very homely atmosphere.

Your host Marika Cronin warmly welcomes you to stay at this idyllic guesthouse and is pleased to answer questions about the area and nearby attractions and places of interest. Marika speaks fluent English and German.

Our guesthouse is located just a bit outside of Heinola town, near a lake and beach. In the vicinity there are good possibilities for jogging, walking, skiing etc. It is only 20 min drive to Lahti and 8 min to Vierumäki with its famous sports centre. Helsinki is about 90 min drive away. The guesthouse is located in a nice residential area, yet very close to the main motorway E75 ( only a couple of minutes drive). To the beach it is just 5 minutes walk and you can see the lake from the guesthouse. In town, you will also find a beach where you can swim in both winter and summer. There's also swimming possibility in Vierumäki swimming hall (6km) and also in Kumpeli spa (8km). There are fantastic nature trails in the nearby forests, ideal for walking, cycling and skiing. Vierumäki Sports institute is 7 km (8 min), Lahti 28km (20 min) and Heinola downtown 6km (5 min) away.
