Hi. I´m Marnie. My co-host is Jake , so if I a not available he will be. I´m from Australia, living in this area for more than 30 years. My properties are also my homes when I visit the areas where they are located, from Barcelona city to the Maresme coast, so I treasure them all and hope that you will too. We like to leave guests to their own devices and keep a low profile, confident that visitors do not need us to have fun! :-) However, we are happy to help out with information or anything else that comes up, please ask us here on the message board.

Property information

Restored 19th-century house, in the Millennium town of Vilassar de Dalt. originally a textile factory. Located in the heart of the village square, you will find this very light and spacious tranquil house with its private pool, and a wonderful oasis, the only noises you will hear, are birds singing, and the bell from the local church, parts of which date from the 12th century and does toll the hour, which I find rather quaint! Tapas bar right outside for your morning coffee or a drink! There are two double bedrooms, the one on the ground floor has a 180x 200 bed and a sofa bed 160x 200. It is a very large room The second bedroom is outside the living area on the top floor, you access it through a balcony, it has a 140 x 200 double bed. Please be aware that in this house there are quite a lot of levels with stairs if you have problems with mobility, this house is not adequate for you and there are no security fences around the pool, so children must be supervised at all times. Young groups under 25 years are not welcome, You are required to leave the house in good condition and take out all your rubbish when you leave. If it is found in a dirty unacceptable condition you will be charged an extra cleaning fee. Check-ins are from 16:00-20:00 hours. check-ins after 20.00 are subject to 50 euros paid in cash, no check-ins are accepted after 22.00 hours. We are not liable for loss or damage to your items, or injury to yourself or your group. The city tax must be paid in cash on arrival. Please be aware that due to severe water restrictions in Cataluña, it is not possible to have a bath, showers only, sorry.

Neighbourhood information

Vilassar de Dalt is a charming town set in the hills, very close to Barcelona and just a 5 min drive to the coast, the town has many activities going on throughout the year, traditional Catalan dancing, fairs .... held in the town square where the house is. You can walk directly from the town to the mountain trails and historic routes. Numerous restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, chemists .....practically onsite or within short walking distance. Just over the hill from the gastronomical village of Cabrils. La Poma Bikepark, Isla Fantasia water park just a couple of kilometers away. Montmelo, La Roca Village outlet 30-minute drive. The perfect place to come and relax away from the tourist crowds. Ideal for couples, and families. Please do be aware that although it is possible to park in the square outside the house, the parking spaces are limited and depending on the hour/day you must pay and put a ticket in your car (Free from 2.00 pm Saturday+9.00 am Monday) Sometimes on weekends when there are fiestas/events you can´t park at all. There is a free parking area 3 minutes walk away.
