HOLIDAY HOME WITH AUTHENTIC SPANISH CHARM. Spacious, traditional village house with air conditioning and surrounded by nature with spectacular mountain views in the idyllic Gallinera Valley. The house has various outdoor areas to enjoy and two swimming pools, one private and the other shared in the village. Only 23km from fabulous beaches of Oliva-Denia. IDEAL FOR Nature lovers, wellness, cycling and hiking. Families and groups of friends looking for a perfect location to enjoy the mountains, sea and Mediterranean climate. THE VILLAGE AND PROPERTY La Carroja is one of the 8 small villages in the Gallinera Valley, a privileged area perfect for both active rural tourism and relaxation. It is surrounded by olive groves and orange, almond and cherry trees, flowering at different times of the year with outstanding natural beauty. Casa Nicole is very well equipped, spacious and comfortable to enjoy all year round. It is well heated in winter and has air conditioning for summer. Relax and enjoy the swimming pool in the garden and valley views from the rooftop solarium terrace. Outdoor cooking and dining can de enjoyed using the barbecue and paella-making facilities available.
We are Ana and Daniel, passionate about nature and active, eco-friendly tourism, sharing those special moments with family and friends. We have recently completed an extensive restoration of the house and garden area. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -Fast WIFI fibre internet service in the interior of the house and the patio-terrace areas. - Parking is very easy in one of the two village plazas by the side of the house. -Weber portable barbecue and gas paella cooking system for the guests to use in the garden area. -Enjoy the local cuisine and tapas in the many bars and restaurants minutes away in nearby villages. -Bakery and two general stores reached in only 5 minutes. -Services, shops and large supermarkets closeby in the town of Pego. -Local golf courses at Olivanova, Oliva and La Sella, Denia. -Spa at the 'Olivanova Resort'. -Do the wine tasting tour at Xaló (Jalón) and visit the famous village of Guadelest. -Family dogs are accepted with prior approval on acceptance of house rules at an additional cost of 25 Euros per pet per stay. -The private swimming pool is open from the 01/June to the 30/September. -The large municipal swimming pool (and infant pool) is open daily during the summer months (end of June to the start of September) from 11:00-20:00 hours and is around 200m from Casa Nicole. It has a bar and a lifeguard pool attendant.
THE AREA is outstanding for hiking, cycling, relaxing and enjoying the local cuisine and lifestyle. During the month of August the local villages celebrate their traditional summer weekend fiestas. HIKING ROUTES FROM THE VILLAGE AND TOURISM ACTIVITIES -The classic 'Route of the 8 Villages' is a linear 16km hike through the length of the Gallinera Valley, visiting all the pueblos and enjoying the local tapas and refreshments en route. -Enjoy hiking up to the 'Forada peak' for tremendous views of the valley all the way to the sea. -Walk to see the ruins of Benissili and Benirrama Castles. -Hike towards the mountain of La Safor. -Cycle or walk the old disused railway line of the 'Via Serpis' between Lorcha and Villalonga. -Many easy walks to visit the local villages of Alpatró, Beniali, Benitaia, Beniciva and Benissili. -Visit the nearby 'Andalusian-style' village of Forna with its castle. -Walk in the area of the Beniarrés reservoir and enjoy the natural swimming pool of the Barranc de la Encantada. -Check out the regional cities of cultural interest, Valencia and Alicante. -Explore the coastal areas of Oliva, Gandia, Denia, Javea, Calpe, Moraira, Altea and Benidorm.
