Burg Rabenstein Etwa sieben Kilometer von Chemnitz entfernt, liegt die Burg Rabenstein. Nach Angaben der Betreiber ist sie die aktuell kleinste Burg Sachsens. Schloss Augustusburg Vom über 500 Meter hoch gelegenen Schellenberg auf dem das 450 Jahre alte Jagdschloss von Kurfürst August steht, kann man bei günstiger Wetterlage einen fantastischen Blick bis zum 50 Kilometer entfernten Fichtelberg genießen. In unmittelbarer Nähezum Schloss gibt es seit fast 100 Jahren eine Drahtseilbahn. Wasserschloss Klaffenbach Im Süden von Chemnitz befindet sich das Wasserschloss, welches im 16. Jahrhundert im Stil der Renaissance erbaut wurde.
